Meeting Dates
2008 Meeting Dates:
January 14th - Viewing of the Documentary 'Anyone and Everyone', followed by open discussion
February 11th - Guest speakers Representative Frank Ferri (District 22, Warwick) and his spouse, Tony Caparco. They will share some great stories with us about both the election process and how they've been welcomed as a couple at the State House.
March 10th - Guest speakers Dr. Andrew Snyder (Medical Director, Lifespan/Physicians PSO and President, RI Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics) and his spouse Robert Waters. Dr. Snyder will speak to us about his role as a pediatrcian interacting with families with an LGBT child.
April 14th - East Greewich High School GSA will be showing a video montage that they produced to promote the National Day of Silence.
May 12th - Guest speaker Tom Fronczak, a board certified diplomate in clinical social work, will be joining PFLAG SCRI for a casual and unscripted question and answer session. His website is www.tomfronczak.com.
June 9th
July 14th - Join as we view the documentary film 'For the Bible Tells Me So', followed by open discussion
August 11th - Potluck supper
September 8th - James Robinson, the Executive Director of Youth Pride, will be joining us. Most of you know Youth Pride’s work already, but they’ve been undergoing some great changes (including expanded Saturday hours/activities). We look forward to hearing about what’s going on with YPI
October 20th - Our meeting is being delayed one week, due to the Columbus Day Holiday on Monday, October 13th. We'll be talking about whether and how to address homophobic comments we overhear, legal rights for LGBT students and adults, and whatever other issues you’d like to discuss
