PFLAG - SCRI

PFLAG of South/Central Rhode Island

DID YOU KNOW that it is estimated that one in 4 families include someone that is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered (GLBT)?

Odds are that you know someone who is GLBT; they may or may not have told you.

It's important that this person know that you will accept them, love them, and support them. The journey toward acceptance can be difficult, emotional, and challenging for family and friends.

The most important step is to understand that sexual orientation is not a choice, rather it is predetermined in the same way your hair color or left-handedness is, and cannot be changed.

Support that special someone who has confided in you and be there for them as they choose to lead an honest, open, and productive life.

Would a meeting place in Riverside, RI be easier for you to attend?

There is another PFLAG chapter in Rhode Islander for LGBTQQ families! The East Bay chapter meets the third Thursday of each month at the Riverside Congregational United Church of Christ (corner of Bullocks Point and Oak Avenues). The East Bay chapter has been established as a satellite group of PFLAG South/Central Rhode Island.  Read more.
